“Bear Creek Apartments” by Hope Larson & Bryan Lee O’Malley | They’re married (and rather well known artists on the indie comics scene), and I don’t think they usually collaborate, but I enjoyed this short story, the whimsy of it all.

Lois van Baarle | a very talented young woman. I used to follow her work on deviantART and just rediscovered her yesterday via a friend’s link on facebook.
Faith Erin Hicks | She’s pretty good for someone who learned to draw just so she could tell her stories. I’ll been following her work for a few years.

“The Cab Ride I’ll Never Forget” by Kent Nerburn | A story about how the not-so-little things in life really matter.
