I tried to email you but it came back undeliverable. I hope you check your blog often. I would not be very surprised if you don’t remember me, my name is Daryl Evans and I’m one of the Sr. Art Directors at Lewis. We didn’t talk very much during the brief time you were with us, so I had no idea that you were such a talented artist. I was asking Jason (he’s freelancing with us right now) if he knew any good illustrators and your name came up. I checked out your website and was very impressed. I like your characters and I really liked the Natalie Portman piece. Great use of a minimal style throughout. You don’t draw anything that doesn’t need to be there. Very nice.

My reason for writing you is, I have a graphic novel concept that I’m interested in pitching to http://www.comicbookchallenge.com and I’m looking for someone that can do the penciling (maybe inking too, if you’d be interested) for me. It would only be one page. I have an idea of how many panels I’d need and what I’d like them to look like. I have the script and I can do the inking and coloring. The look would be dark with heavy shadows since this scene takes place in the middle of the night with only street lights and some moonlight for lighting. It’s pretty dark in tone too. Our hero isn’t much of a hero, just so you know. I’d be happy to discuss the plot and anything else you might have questions about. The deadline is July fifth. I know it’s not a lot of time but I just found out about it today. The only pay would be possible national attention and maybe (if we’re good enough) a comic book series. I’ll understand if you’re not interested or to busy, but please let me know either way so I can find someone else.
